PROJECT : SMART FARM

National project, Code: Climate change.08/16-20 under the Science and Technology program to respond to climate change, natural resources and environment management in the 2016-2020 period, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment School of "Research on smart and economical watering technology with the Soil Moisture Sensor for some crops in the drought-stricken Central Highlands and South Central Coast" for agricultural production. industry towards high-tech agriculture and to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change, especially to adapt to the current shortage of water sources for irrigation in the extreme dry areas of the Central Highlands and South Central Coast

Deploying smart agriculture project for grapes, Ninh Hai Ninh Thuan in the project in the drought area of Central Highlands and South Central Coast

The project has designed a soil moisture sensor system (Soil Moisture Sensor). using wireless sensor network technology (Wireless Sensor Networks) to control remotely for watering enough and at the right time to provide practical implementation for coffee trees in Daknong. The Central Highlands has a scale of 1000m2 and the vines in Ninh Hai - Ninh Thuan have a scale of 1000m2. The system saves 80% of irrigation water compared to traditional irrigation methods, saves more than 90% of labor costs for irrigation, helps increase crop productivity by 20% by watering the right amount of water at the right time, ensuring productivity guarantee. pest control and helps to get high profits because of saving labor costs, water, increasing productivity. The initial investment cost of the smart irrigation system is suitable, so it can be recovered after 2-3 seasons. The research results of the topic contribute a new step in research and application in interdisciplinary fields of science and technology such as Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change, Information Technology.
